Kurt Flett is an Ojibwa Cree who was born and raised in the Northern Manitoba community of Garden Hill , Island Lake.

Kurt started drawing with pencil crayons around the age of eleven. He was heavily influenced in his youth by Jackson Beardy and Stanley Monias.

After teaching grade school for over a decade, Kurt's journey would lead him into devoting all of his time doing what he loves - sketching, painting, and illustrating. His work can be found all over North America and Europe.
